Louise Clark

Louise Clark is a Canadian businesswoman, producer, and broadcast executive. Her most notable work is attributed with the Canadian television show Corner Gas. She has worked on “television drama and comedy shows, feature films, movies-of-the-week, and documentaries.”〔
==Career==

Clark started her career at Canada's largest privately owned networks,commonly referred to as, CTV, working specifically in the television department. Clarke assumed the position of producer; her most renowned work is on five seasons of the number one comedy Corner Gas. This popular Canadian TV show has six season and has won various awards, including nine Canadian Comedy Awards, and Six Gemini Awards. Her production on this hit television show changed her life in a drastic way; it provided more freedom and more trust from the CTV executives. In turn this lead to the production of three seasons of the critically acclaimed Robson Arms (2005-2008), as well as production on Flashpoint (2008-2009) and The Listener (2009-2014). With these four popular Canadian shows under her belt Clarke decided to leave CTV on August 15, 2008, to turn to greater pastures. She is quoted saying “It is very important for me to make decisions right now. I want to take advantage of some time to be open to all the opportunities out there”. After she traveled around Europe she began her own company called Lark Productions, established in 2010 in Vancouver, BC. Lark Productions mission statement is to produce “exceptional talent developing and producing quality TV programming that has the potential to travel internationally”.〔 With this vision in mind, the company developed a team including other Canadian super stars such as Erin Haskett, who developed series for Paperny Films. This is just to name a few; other employee's have worked at the United Nations, and other digital production companies. Since the initial start-up the company has produced four seasons of the television show Motive, two seasons of The real Housewives of Vancouver, and two seasons of Mom’s A Medium. Gaining success in Canada and slowely starting to gain international success, Lark Productions seem to be tackling their goal. Clarke believes that her early start with CTV gave her confidence and the respect she needed to take a risk to open up her own shop in a very competitive market. It is because of this competitive market that Lark Productions signed a deal with a “North American Production Company Picture Arcade, led by former MTV and Comedy Network executive Brent Haynes” in 2014.〔 Having a former professional relationship with Haynes at CTV, Clark acknowledges her excitement and dedication to bring “scripted comedies and dramas as well as unscripted series to air in North America and internationally”.〔 Clark continues to find television programming to distribute both in North America and internationally and is constantly supporting Canadian television.
